Casting 1 Male and 1 Female for "The Corner Shop"
18 to 30
Full Details of Job / Opportunity
The Cornershop is a final year student short film.
We are looking for 1 male and 1 female - it's a story of two people meeting in a shop and falling in love over a shared love of Creme Eggs and little pints of milk.
Rob (our lead) walks confidently into the shop and greets the shopkeeper with a smile and cheery wave (our actor must be able to smile confidently), he picks up a newspaper (maybe The Guardian, maybe The Times) and strolls effortlessly to the counter. meanwhile our female lead (Beth) walks in and noticing there are no more newspapers left (as Rob has taken the last one) gets a bit cross (must be able to look a bit stern and/or annoyed). Rob notices this and offers to let Beth have his newspaper, she initially rebukes his offer, but then is worn down when he offers her a creme egg as well - they start chatting and realise they have a lot in common - Beth gets a pint of milk and suggests to Rob they go back to her place to read the paper together.
The film ends with a close up of the shopkeeper smiling at the joys of young love.
We will pay each actor £300.
