We are an established production who produce
programmes throughout the North West working with diverse communities.

We also produces short films working with other arts organisations such as BBC poetry Team and also with creative individuals on talent projects like “Retitled.”

This project is part of the Scratch to Screen course.

Filming will take place in Snowdonia and a few actors will be needed

in Liverpool or the surrounding areas. Please not that there will be

no payment or expenses for the film (sorry – I know, but the crew are

definitely not being paid) We will provide you with yummy food and

beverages.

Auditions will be held in Liverpool on Saturday 13th February and in the

Snowdonia area on Saturday 20th February.

We are looking for Hill Walkers for the Snowdonia shoot. Local people

only. Ages: Over 50. Welsh accents preferred.

Heroes – casting call premise

Short film

Length :10 minutes

Genre: Personal Drama

Premise: We can all be heroes

The paths of four people cross briefly on a high mountain pass, having

overcome greater obstacles than the hill, including fear and the most

powerful adversary of all, time, each on a hero’s quest to retrieve a

part of themselves they all fear losing forever.

HEROES – CASTING CALL

Age - 60-75 years old

Tudor – 60 to 75 years

A Welsh man born and bred, he is weather beaten and dignified and has

lived a traditional life of hard work in a close-knit community.

Tudor’s short and medium term memory is not what it once was and

recently he has been living with his daughter. Tudor’s loss of grasp

of the immediate and contemporary has left him finding solace in the

past.

Accent – Welsh preferred although please do not let that put you off applying

Special Skill Preferred: Tenor Voice - will sing in the film. Please

apply if you fit the bill other than the Singing ability.

Cerys – 30 to 45 years

Tudor’s daughter is a well-turned-out woman in her late 30’s/40’s who

loyally looks after her father. She has inherited a sense of family

and community from her father and is beside herself with worry when

her father goes missing for a whole day.

Age: 30-45 years old

Pete – 19 to 30 years

Slim framed in his late teens or early twenties with young features.

Pete is a young father; he is also a private in the army and about to

be shipped out to Afghanistan. Pete is a conscientious and dedicated

young man who is doing what he thinks is best for his young family.

Pam

A woman in her late 40’s to mid 50’s, she has an alternative lifestyle

with her long-term partner, Harry. Pam and Harry have been together

for a very long time and are a couple of old hippies. They have

recently had some bad news about Harry’s health. Pam is devastated by

but does her best to stay strong for Harry.

Harry

Is in his 50’s and is travelling up the mountainside in a Land Rover

with his long-term partner, Pam. They have come up for the day to get

away from the drudgery of the daily grind of coping with a life

threatening condition. Harry is trying to stay positive and relaxed

about the situation.
